i didnt top dead center my 1987 bronco 2 before changing the distribiter and it wont start someone please answer this one question do you have to top dead centor it to be able to start it

Well I'm not to familiar with that car, or with mechanical distributors in general to be honest, but if you pulled out the entire distributor and reinstalled a new one without doing some sort of alignment to ensure the timing is correct, it will not work.
