When exactly in 1978 was the movie "Deer Hunter" first playing in theatres and drive-in's? I need to know!!

Why do I ask? My girlfriend & I have "re-met" after ump-teen years. We had our 1st date at the local drive-in Summer of 1978 as teenagers, & we're both trying to figure out what was showing up on that dang screen! Neither one of us
