03.10.11
The Texas Tech and Texas A&M all-time series dates back to 1927, and on Saturday the Red Raiders and Aggies will meet for the 70th time. The rivalry had two matchups between 1927 and 1932 before Tech and A&M played 12 times between 1942-1954, just before Texas Tech joined Texas A&M in the Southwest Conference in 1956. The Red Raiders and Aggies have played every year since while competing against each other in the Southwest Conference (1956-1995) before both schools helped form the Big 12 Conference in 1996.
Now, with the news of Texas A&M moving to the Southeastern Conference in 2012, the Red Raiders and Aggies will play perhaps for the final time as conference foes in Lubbock at Jones AT&T Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. with the game being televised by FX.
Here is a look back at the Top 10 Moments of the Texas Tech and Texas A&M rivalry.
