8 p.m., LIFETIME: The Bodyguard — Whitney Houston fans will want to tune in to see this 1992 drama starring Kevin Costner as a bodyguard who falls for the singer/actress (Houston) he must protect.

8 p.m., TCM: The Grapes of Wrath — The fact that Henry Fonda didn't win an Oscar for this 1940 drama is almost as criminal as the injustices committed against the bedraggled migrant laborers of the story. Even his most devoted fans forget they're watching Fonda, so thoroughly does he transform himself into the bloody but unbowed Tom Joad.

9 p.m., ABC: The Devil Wears Prada — You thought your boss was difficult? A recent college graduate (Anne Hathaway) gets a crash course in landing arguably the most demanding boss on Earth (Meryl Streep, who plays it to the hilt) at a fashion magazine in this enjoyable 2006 comedy, adapted from Lauren Weisberger's bestseller.

9 p.m., NBC: The Firm — A desperate dad (Roger Cross, "24") hires Ray and Mitch (Callum Keith Rennie, Josh Lucas) to investigate the death of his son. They soon find themselves in the murky world of anti-terrorism law, where preserving civil liberties takes a back seat to protecting national security. Tammy (Juliette Lewis) takes a new job in an effort to further the Sarah Holt investigation in the new episode "Chapter Nine."
