Peggy Anne Pettit Bohn
1943 ~ 2011
Peggy Anne Bohn passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on September 22, 2011, in Provo, Utah. She was born March 4, 1943, in Los Angeles, California to Lynne and Aline Pettit. She married Robert "Bob" F. Bohn (who preceded her in death on September 24, 2005), in the Salt Lake City Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 3, 1965.
Peggy attended Utah State University for one year and met Bob in Tripoli, Libya (where her family was living while her father was on assignment for the U.N.) when Bob was traveling in Europe and North Africa. They began dating when she transferred to Brigham Young University. She was loved by the 123 girls in Bowen and Broadbent Halls when they were dorm parents. During marriage, Peggy provided constant support and stability to her beloved husband in his career. Peggy quickly became proficient at moving, as they lived in Utah, California, New York, France, Germany, and eventually settled in the San Francisco Bay Area before returning to Provo for retirement. She was an exceptional wife and mother of five sons. She also managed to earn a Master's Degree in English from California State University-Hayward. She was a popular teacher of children's literature and taught at various Secondary Schools and Universities. She was also the first librarian at the Sycamore Elementary School in Danville, California where the children and staff loved her.
