There were many movies made of this and I'm watching the 1935 version now with Charles Laughton and Clark Gable. This movie is outstanding! I also have watched the 1962 version which stars Marlon Brando and Trevor Howard. Which did you like best?

I liked both but I thought the first one had a more compelling cast and pulled the storyline off better. Remakes are always trying to out-do the first one...
